Communication with Intention - Facilitated by Susanne Bowen

Communication is defined as the exchange or imparting of information. As we know, information can take many forms. It can be an invitation to a child’s birthday party, a report on the US economy or it can involve the reporting of a healthcare matter. 

 When an organization or individual has critical information to share with several audiences, it becomes a complex, intentional activity with a multifaceted activity: sharing the right information, at the right time to the right people in a format and manner which is relevant, and using a medium with which an audience is comfortable.

This webinar will address complex situations in which the questions: where, how, when, where, what, and who, together, are a useful tool in an iterative exercise of determining how and to whom to share sensitive or confidential information.  

I will initially focus on the importance of communicating with intention within a commercial entity and how getting it right from the start often results in the communication being positively received based on the customized approach. A subsequent example of communicating with intention will be at the individual or personal level - when highly sensitive information needs to be communicated to various audiences.
