Design Group International, a leader in the field of Process Consulting, announces that its Senior Design Partner Lucretia “Lukie” Wells has been appointed Director of the Society for Process Consulting.

"I share both my excitement and congratulations for my fellow senior partner, Lukie Wells, as she becomes the Director of the Society for Process Consulting. What an incredible achievement! I see a bright future ahead, and I am looking forward to how Lukie's leadership will advance the field of Process Consulting around the globe."

Noele Stith, Co-CEO of Design Group International

Since its founding in 2017, the Society has been the credentialing and professional development leader in the field of Process Consulting. The Society offers a wide variety of courses on the art and attitude of being a Process Consultant and three levels of professional credential for practitioners seeking to advance their development in the field.

The field of Process Consulting was first developed by Edgar H. Schein during his career at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The field has been advanced over the past forty years by many organizational development leaders, most recently through the publication of Listening Helping Learning, the Core Competencies of Process Consulting authored by Mark L. Vincent, Founder of Design Group International and co-founder of the Society for Process Consulting.

Process Consulting is an iterative form of humble inquiry and guidance in which the helper walks alongside the Client to co-create solutions. A Process Consultant’s purpose is not to provide ready-made solutions but to advance the Client’s growth and learning through authentic discovery and relationship.

Design Group International’s Co-CEO & Managing Partner Lon L. Swartzentruber noted “Lukie embodies the humble inquiry and Process Consulting approach. She has been a leader in the field of Process Consulting and in her new role as Director, Lukie will leverage her decades of experience in human development, school leadership, and curriculum development to further advance the Society.”

In her new role, Lukie will oversee the Society as it grows by helping design and deliver curriculum, build a stronger platform to support the skill development for Process Consultants, and further develop the Society’s international membership base and Community of Practice.

Lukie noted, I’m honored to be selected by the partners and look forward to helping implement our collective vision for the Society. I believe that the Society for Process Consulting is a place for anyone seeking to embody the humble inquiry and process approach. Those who find a vocational home here include organizational and departmental leaders, boards and owners of organizations, internal and external consultants and coaches, human resource professionals, organizational development & psychology professionals, and learners seeking to help our world thrive.

Now in its 25th year, Design Group International practices Process Consulting, a type of organizational development consulting that relies on an iterative, collaborative approach with organizations and their leaders based on the core competencies of listening, helping, and learning.

Design Group International encompasses several communities of practice including the Society for Process Consulting, Maestro-level Leaders, and Culture Change Leadership. Design Group International has Process Consultants located in fourteen cities across the United States.
