The Society offers a wide variety of courses on the art and attitude of being a Process Consultant and three levels of professional credential for practitioners seeking to advance their development in the field. The field of Process Consulting was first developed by Edgar H. Schein during his career at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The field has been advanced over the past forty years by many organizational development leaders, most recently through the publication of Listening Helping Learning, the Core Competencies of Process Consulting authored by Mark L. Vincent, Founder of Design Group International and co-founder of the Society for Process Consulting. Process Consulting is an iterative form of humble inquiry and guidance in which the helper walks alongside the Client to co-create solutions.
